France-Days 2, 3, 4

HELLO!
Greetings citizens of Earth. Connor here with you French update thing!
on that day we went to Musee d’Orsay and saw the impressionist paintings of Claude Monet, Renoir, and Van Gogh! Pictures after the post. Also, we saw parts of Tour De France pass by while we were walking! And later that day at an Italian restaurant, we saw the winner of the event! It was some Australian guy :D
The next day, Zach and Katherine went to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa, while I, the great Connor, slept.
Later, we drove to Bayuex and explored the village with Dad. I even saw some French Pokemon cards! Tee hee.
For dinner we went to an amazing restaurant that was very apple-oriented. Apple pie included.
The next day, we had a guided tour of Normandy beach from WWII, learned so much information on the war, and saw a museum focused on the American part of the war. And guess what? for dinner we had a totally authentic French cheese tasting! Oh, wait. I forgot to mention it was in our car.

See Ya!

A Highly Late French Update!

Yes Aunt Sue, I am updating the blog now.
Hello my fellow humans it is I Connor and i am finally back after having a terrible disease strike me. (My doctor calls it "laziness." Weird.) But, now it is finally time for me to inform you of my French adventures, in full, right now.
BEWARE. INCOMING HUGE MASS OF TEXT.
We left to Paris on the Eurostar straight from King's Cross station. Sadly, I was unable to get a picture at 9 and 3/4, but oh well. We got a bit lost before we finally found our hotel, Le Meridien. It was an AMAZING hotel. Quite fancy. Then we left for our amazing adventure! To start off we had a ride on the good old French subway, until we reached a street where we found an amazing ice cream shop. I got a Chocolat Noir flavor and it was probably the best dark chocolate ice cream i have ever tasted. EVER. And as we licked, we came across the grand and fancy Notre Dame! It was really huge and stuff! YAY! Then we went to the Arc De Triomphe and climbed my worst enemy. STAIRS! OH THE HORROR! The view from the top was amazing and we saw the Eiffel Tower. More on that giant piece of metal later. As we headed down Zach got a souvenir, a little statue of Notre Dame, The Arc De Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. For dinner we had, you won't believe this, MCDONALDS. Yes, in the world of escargot, croque mousier, and every french food on the planet, we choose Mcdonalds? Well, long story short, there are very few good (and relatively cheap) food options near the Eiffel Tower. So, instead of being lazy and taking the elevator, we went the extreme way. Yes. That's right. all of the over 1000 steps inside of the Eiffel Tower. The view was amazing and after we climbed down we got to see the dear tower sparkle. And wait a second. I forgot something. Something you'll be hearing a lot about in the next 3 days. We saw the famous water lily paintings from the painter Claude Monet! And later we got to goin his house in Giverny and see his beautiful garden. But, that topic is for tomorrow. Okay? Alrighty. as usual, there will be pictures under this post, so bye.

Review Of Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2

Hello my fellow people! This is my review for the latest Harry Potter movie!
The latest movie in the 10 years of installments is easily one of the best.  Much darker than most of the others, I will warn you, with the deaths of many supporting characters as well as some parts that I will admit truthfully made me hide behind my popcorn bucket in fright. I saw it in 3D, which I FULLY recommend, because the 3D was spot-on amazing. Everything seemed so real, almost as if you were really at Hogwarts! The special effects were also great and are easily some of the best in the series. So, the movie starts off with a slightly confusing flashback sequence, but immediately afterward jumps right into the heist of Gringotts. The amazingly created Battle of Hogwarts begins shortly afterward, with plenty of suspense and action that the 7th installment lacked a bit in. Some of the best animated parts were the face off between Ron, Hermione and Voldemort's evil snake Nagini, the ride on the dragon guarding Bellatrix Lestrange's Gringotts vault, and the final battle scenes with Harry and Voldemort. I loved this film and it is a definite MUST SEE for fans of all ages.
If you excuse me, I have a lord of dark magic to fight. Cheers!

England- Day 15

Hello people! Connor here while picking out correct giraffe pictures!

Today we went to the London Zoo and had a great time. We saw penguins chilling in their pool, butterflies flying around, and much more! We also went to a place where we could get very close to the monkeys and the gorillas! My favorite part was when I got to get face to face with a giraffe and feed him leaves! This was a fun day, TOTALLY recommend it, and i'm done. Enjoy the rest of your day!

England- Day 14

Hello readers, Connor here after putting together confusing LEGO sets!

Today we went to Legoland. It was tons of fun. We got to build a Lego set, go on 3 different water rides, we got to drive our own Lego car, and even see LEGO-ized versions of famous European monuments such as Big Ben, the Tower Bridge and a working London Eye! We also went on a cool roller coaster called The Dragon and it was even inside of a castle where we got to have some ice cream afterward!
I'm done now. Go play with some Legos or something.

England- Day 13

Hello Everyone, Connor here after checking out big space rocks!
Yesterday we went to Greenwich and had a good time. We went to the National Maritime Museum and saw many ships and water related exhibits. There was even this really big stained glass window inside too!
Then we went to the Observatory and we got to stand on the Prime Meridian, as well as visit galleries with activities about time and longitude.

And yes, yesterday WAS Tuesday, so we saw a play! Yesterday's play was War Horse, based off a book both me and Zach have read. War Horse takes place in WWI and is about a boy named Albert who loses his horse Joey when his father sends Joey out to war. Joey the has many adventures throughout the war and is eventually reunited with Albert. I highly recommend seeing/reading War Horse, GREAT use of your time! (Also, thought I might mention this, War Horse is playing on Broadway and in London, and is soon to be a movie in late December.)

England- Day 12

HELLO!
Today we went to Winston Churchill's London At War Experience. We did a lot of things that pertain to London in WWII. We got to try on gas masks and army gear, as well as watch a video about what happened during the war. We even got to see what it would be like to be in an air raid!

Then we went to the HMS Belfast and had an awesome time! We saw many parts of the ship including the engine room, the bridge, the bunker, and many others. We even got to play a touchscreen game where we directed our planes and submarines to find ship parts. The day was tons of fun.
Be Seeing You Laters!
